Cultural Identity


Cha Chann Teng is very popular in HK. It’s literally means “tea restaurant”. The drink is an important role at these establishments. The restaurants focus on fast service and high efficiency. It embodies HK’s rush living style. Especially in rush hour, it’s a lot of people to queue outside the restaurant. A light, weak tea is served to all customers as soon as they sit down. Some customers choose to use this to clean their utensils, but really it’s not for drinking.  It servers a wide range of food including noodle, rice, HK style French toast, and sandwich,ect, And the inventions of drinks like ice tea with lemon, YuangYang, Coca-Cola with lemon, milk tea. This style of restaurant reflected HK cultural.
